Bodies of missing Texas man, woman found in shallow graves in Oklahoma.

Authorities found two bodies in shallow graves on a rural Okfuskee County property, the remains are believed to be those of a missing Texas man and woman.

An autopsy has been ordered on the bodies, and the medical examiner has taken over. The Temple Police Department said that the preliminary investigation leads detectives to believe the bodies are Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin.

Scott and Swearingin have been missing since Jan. 4. Their car was found abandoned in Austin earlier this week.

A search organized Saturday that brought in more than 100 volunteers found nothing to help pinpoint where the two friends are or what happened to them since they went missing. Friends and family searched for clues, signs of what may have happened to the two. But now the search for signs of hope reached a closure after the sad news was delivered.

The remains were recovered from a clandestine grave after Oklahoma investigators went to the property at the request of Temple police, who are investigating the disappearance of the two Temple residents.

“Investigative information led investigators to rural Okfuskee County, where a homicide investigation is underway,” the OSBI said in a press release.

An ex-boyfriend of Scott's, 44-year-old Cedric Marks, was arrested in Grand Rapids, Michigan last week on a felony burglary warrant out of Bell County, Texas. Marks, who has not been named a suspect or person of interest in the disappearance of Scott or Swearingin, is accused of breaking into Scott's Temple home last August. Marks is awaiting extradition to Texas on that charge.

Anyone with information about the location of Jenna and Michael is asked to call Temple Police at 254-298-5500.
