A man is in a critical condition after being stabbed, second man charged in South Grafton

A 28-year-old man from Eatonsville is in critical condition after being stabbed in a house in South Grafton this morning.

Officers from the Coffs / Clarence police station reported that two men were arguing at their home on Gardenia Road at about 3:40 am (Saturday, January 5, 2019), one of whom was reportedly stabbed twice in the abdomen.

The man was treated at the scene before been taken to Grafton Hospital and taken to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in critical condition after emergency surgery.

A 33-year-old South Grafton man was arrested shortly afterwards and taken to the Grafton Police Station where he was charged with an injury with intent to cause serious bodily harm.
