A Tennessee man was taken into custody over the gruesome murder of his wife earlier this month.
Benjamin Wayne Hopson, 36, was covered in blood as he left the crime scene on April 2, witnesses said.

A Claiborne County deputy responded to Barren Creek Road in New Tazewell to find 49-year-old Lori Ann Hopson dead with her throat slit.
Investigators believe Hopson “violently attacked” his wife while they traveled in New Tazewell after their car slid off the road down an embankment.
The victim worked as a corrections officer in charge of the kitchen at the Claiborne County jail.
