A Texas mother was in tears after her arrest over the fatal shooting of her daughter’s boyfriend last weekend.

Patricia Conlon, 49, claimed that she acted in self-defense after being assaulted by victim Justin Troutte, 34, just before 2 p.m. Sunday.

But a roommate’s account and evidence gathered by detectives contradicted Conlon’s claims as she arrived at Troutte’s home armed and held the man at gunpoint, locking him up inside the bathroom.
