Authorities in Lubbock are looking for a suspect in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old woman whose body was found inside his abandoned vehicle Monday.
39-year-old Christopher Carter is wanted over the death of Lakaria Moore who was last seen alive with him, police said.
The teen's mother said on a GoFundMe page that Moore was killed “by someone she thought loved her.”
“Nobody should have to bury their child. It's supposed to be the other way around,” the grieving mother, Ladesia Dial, added.
Dial revealed her last conversation with the suspect, hours before her teen daughter's remains were found.
“His voice sounded a little different than normal. He sounded sad.”
