Six teens were arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a South Carolina mother earlier this month.
Larisha Sharell Thompson, 40, was fatally shot while sitting in the front of her car while driving in Lancaster on May 2.
10 days after the murder, on May 12, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of six youngsters on murder charges.
Asael Aminadas Torres-Chirinos, 21; Jarby Ardon Ramos-Odari, 18; and Jeyson Sobied Pineda-Salgado, 17, were charged as adults with murder, attempted armed robbery, and burglary.
Charged with the same counts were three juveniles aged 13, 14, and 15.
Investigators linked Thompson’s murder to an earlier burglary at a nearby gas station and were able to identify Torres-Chirinos through surveillance footage.
Police said the six suspects tried to rob Thompson after shooting her dead, but they failed because her car was locked.
