A Nevada woman fighting for the custody of her two children was gunned down by her ex-father-in-law who also killed her new husband before taking his own life.
Ashley Prince was being represented at the Prince Law Group’s Summerlin Office by her new husband Dennis while the 77-year-old suspect, Joseph Houston, represented his son Dylan Houston during a deposition.
The slain woman’s parents said through tears at a Monday press conference that Dylan Houston would send his ex-wife as many as 70 threatening texts a day.
The parents cited texts like “I don’t want to see you unless you’re in a casket,” “I will chisel you down to a weaker and worthless sack of bones”, and “I’ll crush you in a way you don’t even comprehend.”
Five days before the ultimate court hearing on April 8, Dylan Houston, who is also an attorney, sent Dennis Price an email that read.
“You have no idea what’s coming to you, all your cards are on the table and I haven’t played one.”
Following the tragedy, Ashley’s family filed an emergency motion to have sole custody of the children.
