A 20-year veteran police officer in Washington DC was fatally shot by his wife just before she turned the gun on herself in a tragic murder-suicide Friday night.

The lifeless bodies of Christina Francis, 41, and her husband Timothy Francis, 50, were found at their Waldorf home at around 6 p.m.

Francis, who has served the Washington DC Police Department for 20 years, was the victim of a murder-homicide carried by his wife.
