Colorado man arrested for running meth lab says he was making ‘healthy meth’ based on acai berries

Longmont news, Colorado news.

Colorado investigators were stunned to hear a drug maker claiming he had done nothing wrong as the meth he has been producing was “healthy” and based on acai berries.

However, Craig William Rogers has been charged this week with several counts including unlawful distribution, manufacturing, and dispensing of a controlled substance. His arrest unfolded on Tuesday after a tipster led police to his lab.

It was true that the 49-year-old had berries in his lab, but Deputy Chief Jeff Satur warned that “no amount of meth is safe. Whether it has a berry in it or not” adding that meth is a highly addictive, life-destroying drug.

Rogers was released after posting his $15,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
