Teen found buried in shallow grave died of fentanyl intoxication

The Ohio teen boy who has been found buried in a shallow grave in Washington Township last April died by "acute fentanyl intoxication." Meanwhile, his death was ruled a homicide, according to Ohio authorities.

Jonathan Minard, 14-year-old, was last seen in a family friend's farm in Harrisburgh. He was reported missing on April 13 before police found his body in the grounds of a farm on April 19.

No suspect has been arrested at this time though the investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the murder: "My deputies continue to work the case and we are also working with other agencies such as the FBI and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to gather and evaluate the evidence," Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams stated.
