A South Carolina woman was found dead in a suitcase weeks after she disappeared, authorities in Walterboro said.
The body of 32-year-old Victoria Jean Beach was found stuffed inside a suitcase in an inhabited home.
Officers were interviewing people known to the decedent on Wednesday, the day she was reported missing, when a foul odor led them to the body.

An autopsy showed Beach was not shot or stabbed but likely strangled to death.
The woman had not been seen for around a month before she was reported missing.
She reportedly had been arrested at least eight times since 2020 for offenses including meth possession and disorderly conduct.
