Washington DC news, Washington news.

President Joe Biden spoke to around 3,000 journalists and celebrities at the White House Correspondents Dinner Saturday cracking jokes about his age and his bitter opponent, Donald Trump.

“The 2024 election is in full swing, and yes, age is an issue,” Biden told the audience.

“I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old.”

“I feel great, I really feel great. I’m campaigning all over the country. Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina – I’ve always done well in the original 13 colonies.”

Biden also cited his 2022 bike fall in Delaware when he shared a conversation he had with First Lady Jill Biden before last year’s dinner.

The President spoke about his age again, comparing himself to Trump, who is 77.

“Age is the only thing we only have in common,” he said.

He then went on to indirectly mention Trump’s ongoing hush money trial.

“I’ve had a great stretch since the State of the Union. Donald has had a tough few days lately – you might call it stormy weather.”
