Former Apprentice star Elle Stevenson has been left almost blind in one eye after two men viciously mugged her while she was enjoying a night out.
The 25-year-old needed plastic surgery for her broken cheekbones after she was left covered in blood in the savage robbery on December 16 at Charing Cross station.
She told today of her shock at discovering that, despite pointing out CCTV cameras that may have captured the vicious attack on Sunday, December 16 to the police, she was told by officers that they did not have the resources to trawl through an hour's worth of footage and therefore it was unlikely her attacker would ever be caught.
She fumed: "I feel very let down by the police. I work really hard, pay my taxes and for my whole family its just work work work."
Cops have insisted they will look through the footage if they are given an exact time the mugging took place.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "The CCTV cameras in McDonald's did not cover the area where the offenses took place.
