A 38-year-old mother was taken into custody Tuesday in connection to the killing of her teenage son who was shot to death inside her home on Feb. 18, according to police.

Jail booking reports revealed that Pamela Fay Millsap was apprehended by Eureka Police Chief Steve Watson shortly after 8:19 p.m. She is facing involuntary manslaughter charges and her bail was set at $35,000.

Millsap was considered the “only suspect” in the murder. At this time, “There is a lot of evidence to be processed,” Watson announced.

The shooting occurred at about 7 p.m. at the family house after Millsap and her 17-year-old son got into a heated argument that turned bloody. The teen’s identity was not publicly released due to his age. He has sustained “serious gunshot wounds” and was declared dead at a hospital.
