Authorities announced the death of an 8-year-old girl on Friday night following gunfire that unfolded at a high school football jamboree in St. Louis.
The unidentified girl has been assisting to the event with her family. Three other people have sustained gunshot wounds when the shooting occurred at around 8:15 p.m. near Soldan High School. The victims are two teenagers and a woman in her 40s.
Multiple fights broke out before the shooting leading police to conceal the event and clear the area, according to reports.
Authorities have also responded to reports of a shooting at Parkway North High School amid another jamboree about 12 miles away. Police said that no one has been injured there.
