Nassau County news, New York news.

A 32-year-old Uber driver accused of kidnapping a New York teenager girl while in a ride from a Sweet 16 party on July 12 has been arraigned.

According to Sean Williams' lawyer, his client has entered a non-guilty plea to charges pending against him.

On Thursday, the Nassau County District Attorney's Office stated that the victim, 15, was able to escape from her kidnapper who has picked her up after spending some time in a party in Atlantic Beach. Suddenly, Williams acted strangely and forced the victim to drink with him and ordered her to go to his Brooklyn house.

She managed to save her life and call 911 when she asked him to go to a bathroom.

"The girl was terrorized by the defendant's alleged behavior and bravely took action to contact the police and free herself," prosecutors said.
