WWE star arrested in Myrtle Beach

South Carolina police announced the arrest of World Wrestling Entertainment star Jeff Hardy on July 13 for public intoxication.

The 41-year-old athlete who was apprehended at around 11 a.m. remains in a Myrtle Beach prison, said Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Thomas Vest.

After his arrest, WWE stated that the pro wrestler is "responsible for his own personal actions."

Following a leg injury, Hardy has been on the sidelines for several months. He was previously arrested in 2009 in North Carolina for possession of prescription pills, anabolic steroids, and drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $100,000 bond.

In 2018, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a car crash.
