A 38-year-old Redding woman has been arrested Friday after she allegedly stabbed a man near Parkview Market and fled the area riding her bicycle Wednesday, police said.
In video footage from the crime scene, Misty Ledeen Dorman was riding away her bicycle after stabbing the victim whose name was not publicly released several times including in his upper back near his neck.
Dorman told police that she attacked the man fearing that he was going to "drop an 18 pack of beer on her foot and acted as if he was going to punch her," Sgt. Todd Cogle stated.
"Misty" was held into Shasta County Jail facing suspicion of an attempted murder charge.
The victim was rushed to the Mercy Medical Center in Redding in a critical condition.
