Police are looking for more information following the death of a Sebring woman whose body was discovered in the grass median of U.S. Highway 92 approximate Reynolds Road early Sunday morning.
The woman was identified by authorities as Kara Fay Hanvey, 22-year-old. She was believed to be killed by a hit-and-run driver, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The victim has sustained several injuries as well as a broken leg.
An autopsy is expected to be performed today in order to determine Hanvey's cause of death.
Authorities are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident or had any further information concerning the victim's activities or whereabouts over the weekend to contact PCSO at 863-298-6200.
