A York prison inmate had been sentenced to an additional 20 to 40-year in jail sentence after she was convicted of assaulting her cousin cellmate in 2016.
Erica Jenkins, 29, was sentenced for the assault of a confined person charge following the September 2016 incident when she used a padlock in a sock to beat her cousin Christine Bordeaux who shared the same cell with her.
The suspect was initially serving a life sentence after being convicted of helping her brother, Nikko Jenkins, killing an Omaha man in 2013 while Bordeaux was serving her 20 years behind bars sentence for her role in a robbery that involved her cousin Nikko, who had pleaded no contest to four murder charges.
