A Layton suspect was formally charged in connection to the abuse and torture against his dog which leaded to his death after he admitted the horrific acts to a friend, reports said.
20-year-old Cailean Torquil Macdona MacLeod faces several charges including torture of a companion animal.
According to MacLeod's best friend claims, the heartless dog owner "told him that he had killed his dog and wanted to join the military to kill people. He admitted that he enjoyed hurting the dog and deeply loved choking"and abusing him.
Another friend said that the suspect once had thrown the dog down a flight of stairs which caused the pet to be broken and later amputated, court documents revealed.
The Collie-Australian shepherd mix died last January as a result of agressive abuse he suffered.
