A man sentenced to 25 years in prison following hiding the death of a missing teacher

Bo Dukes, 34, convicted of helping hide the death of a missing teacher in Georgia. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday morning by a court in Abbeville.

Dukes was convicted Thursday night of lying to investigators about the death of Tara Grinstead in 2005. The body of the high school's history teacher was reduced to ashes and bone fragments in a pecan orchard.

Nobody knew exactly what happened to the woman until Dukes and another man were arrested in 2017.

Dukes was found guilty of two counts of false reporting, obstruction of a criminal and concealment of a death.

His co-accused, Ryan Alexander Duke, is charged with murder and should be tried on April 1 in Irwin County.
