A San Angelo suspect was booked into Tom Green County Jail after he allegedly threw a "large rock" at the his fiancee's car hurting their child who was inside.
The event occurred on February 22 when 36-year-old Frank Martinez recklessly drove the 2011 Honda SUV while under alcohol influence with the woman setting in the passenger seat and their toddler in the backseat, an arrest affidavit said.
The scared woman tried to escape by getting out of the car but she was not able to get so far.
Martinez caught her and aggressively beat her. She succeeded to escape from him and ran away.
The nervous Martinez then threw a very big rock at the backseat side causing serious injuries to the child before running away.
He was apprehended and faces abandoning or endangering child charge.
