Two Wyoming high school students were charged as adults over the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old classmate at a Casper mall Sunday.
Bobby Maher, 14, lost his life in a confrontation with the two suspects, Jarreth Joseflee “JJ” Plunkett and Dominique “Dom” Antonio Richard Harris, both 15.
The suspect admitted to stealing kitchen knives from Target before the fatal stabbing at Eastridge Mall.
Maher’s girlfriend called him to say that the suspects were following her and her friend around the mall.
The boy came with a friend and a physical confrontation with the two armed suspects ensued.
“Dom slammed Maher to the ground and JJ walked up and stabbed Maher,” police said.
Footage from the scene showed Plunkett chasing the victim, calling him names, and repeatedly asking him to “swing on him.”
“Maher clearly did not want to fight as he is seen moving in a continuous backwards motion away from Plunkett.”
“[Maher] never threw a punch, never slapped, never pushed anyone,” the affidavit stated.
