Newport Beach news, California news.

A Newport Beach suspect has been arrested in connection with the triple killing that occurred Wednesday night in gated community, according to police.

Camden Burton Nicholson, 27, was taken into Irvine police custody for his alleged role in the triple slaying of his relatives' inside their Palazzo home, in a private community.

Responding officers found three people, two women and a man, dead when they arrived to the scene around 9 p.m. Investigators believe the victims knew each others and probably knew the killer as well which means that there is "no ongoing threat to the area."

Neighbors were shocked by the crime that happened in the friendly, safe neighborhood. "You move into certain neighborhoods, people stay to themselves, but not here. Everyone is super friendly," one neighbor said.
