Abilene authorities arrested on Sunday a woman who allegedly struck her husband amid dispute and caused him severe injuries.
The suspect, who has not been identified, allegedly called police to report that she found her husband lying on the ground with a severe head wound at around 3:15 a.m. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Grand Avenue.
The husband was rushed to a nearby hospital while authorities questioned the wife in the Law Enforcement Center. She finally admitted to hitting her husband with the car as he tried to choke her off the car.
The suspected wife faces charges of second-degree felony aggravated assault. She was being held in Taylor County jail until her release on a $25,000 bond on Monday.
