The Muskogee Police Department arrested the suspect who stabbed a man to death Saturday.
Police were called at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday to the 500 block of North Sixth Street to investigate a possible robbery and assault when they found a man had been stabbed.
The victim identified as Jimmy Ray Thompson, 48, was stabbed around 4 p.m. near Market Street and North 6th Street. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he died.
Muskogee Police Department Investigators arrived and conducted interviews with several people in order to identify the suspect. Allen Syfrett was identified as a possible suspect.
He was located at another residence and was taken into custody at 7:45 p.m.
