Two people were injured after being hit by a truck in Balina this morning. One of the two is seriously injured.
The incident took place on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 8:10 am when a man and a woman walked down Suvla Street towards Shelly Beach Road, were hit by a Kia Carnival.
The 65-year-old woman was seriously injured and taken to the Gold Coast hospital for treatment.
The man, reportedly 60, was taken to a local hospital after being slightly injured.
A 27-year-old woman who ran the carnival was tested for passive breathing on the side of the road.
They were transferred to the Lismore Base Hospital for further evaluation and testing.
