Elderly Massachusetts cab driver assaulted by dentist

An East Boston dentist was charged with assault and battery upon an elderly person after he reportedly attacked an 86-year-old cab driver, according to police.

Dr. Nicholas Franco cut off the cab driver's road as he stopped at a traffic light. He then left his gray Mercedes and got in an argument with the cab driver, pushing him to the ground and punching him multiple times.

Charles Touroyan was transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital for an evaluation. He was sent home after X-rays results showed he had no broken bones.

Authorities said that they reviewed a surveillance footage that confirmed the victim's claims. "The guy came out and pushed me and hit me and I went down. I was shocked, I couldn't get up," Touroyan told local media.
