An Avondale father has been busted on Monday after he was caught driving drunk with his 20-month-old son in the backseat.
Court documents said that 31-year-old Joshua Edwards was driving eastbound on Interstate 10 at around 10:30 p.m. when a trooper spotted him traveling at 81 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was also seen zipping through traffic and driving close to a semi-truck.
Edwards was pulled over and the trooper found about two dozen open containers of beer and mini liquor bottles inside his Jeep Wrangler. In the backseat, he found his 20-month-old toddler who was not hurt.
Edwards blew a .159 and .153 and smelled of alcohol.
He is facing aggravated DUI, child endangerment and driving with an open container in the car.
