At least 7 people were injured during a shooting that occurred at a 2-year-old's birthday party on Saturday night, according to authorities.

The shooting unfolded outside a Camp Springs apartment complex where 12 people were attending the party. The incident broke out following an argument as described by witnesses. "Words were exchanged" between the shooter and a group of people before the shooting.

Prince George's County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said that three of the victims were in critical condition while the others' injuries were "less serious."

The victims are all adults, between 18 and 20-year-old. The suspect fled the scene and is on the run. Authorities believe that the shooting was carried by one shooter.
