A mother has been arrested after she allegedly left her son unattended as she went gambling at a casino.
Stacy Rupp, 34-year-old, left her 9-year-old son unattended last week and headed to the Desert Diamond Casino to play.
The McDonald's employees called the police to report a dirty and disheveled boy who was left alone. Upon her arrest, the mother told investigators that she was shopping at a nearby grocery. She later confessed that she went to a casino. "He drives me crazy and steals my money, " the mom told officers.
She was charged with child abuse and endangering the life and health of a minor. She cried as a judge denied her from seeing the child as she awaits her trial.
