Two-year-old Kayden John Stuber of Greenville , died after shooting himself in the head. He reportedly found his grandmother's gun in a purse on Thursday afternoon, according to a report. The boy died on the way to the hospital.
"Apparently, he went into the purse of the grandmother that was sitting on the bed, manipulated the weapon when it was unloaded," said the county coroner of Greenville, Kent Dill.
Grandmother Bekki Gunter was the boy's main caretaker.
"The first thing you heard when you woke up, you heard him slamming in the room, my grandmother? Dad? grandfather Tim Gunter said.
No charges have been filed.
