According to the police, Brandy Myles faced a charge of second degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Poul Hansen in eastern New Orleans.
Police said Hansen was found dead on May 18 and was shot in the head.
Myles had previously been incarcerated for charges in a neighboring jurisdiction when she was arrested for murder. The police did not give him a hometown or possible motive.
Advocate Mads Pramming from Copenhagen represents Hansen's family. He stated by e-mail that he had received information that his wallet and phone had disappeared when his body was found near his hotel.
