5years ago

Dedham news, Massachusetts news.

A judge suspended Michael Schoener, a former Massachusetts police officer, for up to nine years, including two men who used his badge, rifle case and handcuffs to kidnap another man, later found dead.

Schoener was convicted Wednesday of being an accomplice before the January 2014 abduction of 37-year-old James Robertson from an Avon home.

Robertson's body was found two years later in a town 50 km away.

The men who had kidnapped Robertson presented themselves as gendarmes and "watched the party" because they had police equipment.
