Video emerges of unattended inmate dying on the ground of prison yard

A new video has emerged of an 2017 incident that occurred behind the walls of South Carolina's Turbeville when an agonizing inmate was left unattended lying on the prison yard while officers worked to control the chaos inside.

Allen "AJ" Capers, 32, was stabbed by two other inmates and left to die in a pool of blood for half an hour on the New Year's Eve 2017.

Capers can be seen on the video writhing for Twenty-four minutes as officers walked past him until fellow inmates approached him and brought a stretcher.

"Following an inmate altercation at Turbeville, one inmate was killed and eight inmates were sent for offsite medical attention," tweeted the state's Department of Corrections that day.
