Tucson news, Arizona news.

A man from Tucson was convicted of murder after stabbing his girlfriend. When the jurors left the courtroom, he returned and punched one of his lawyers.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, the sheriff's deputy ministers then clashed with 28-year-old Chet Jack Wadsworth Maley on the floor while other deputy ministers appeared in court on Friday.

When the court resumed, Maley was not in the courtroom and the paramedics came to consult with attorney Craig Kessler.

The judge who presided over the case then granted a request from another lawyer, he appointed a contracted lawyer to represent Maley in the May 13 conviction of the murder of Roxanne Ortiz and and in an assault case stemming from the courtroom attack.
