An Oklahoma man was charged with murder after he allegedly admitted to killing his infant who was brought to a hospital with skull fractures.

4-month-old Quinn Betancourt was declared dead upon arriving at the hospital on March 5.

His 36-year-old father, Duwuan Betancourt, claimed that the baby had fallen from a couch like he often did a few days earlier.

He also said that he left the boy in a swing from 12:30 to 3:45 and found him cold to the touch and not breathing.

Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk said that the autopsy revealed the infant “suffered from injuries consistent with child abuse.”

A doctor suggested the baby’s injuries were likely sustained from being slammed “on a hard surface.”

“The baby would have died within five minutes of sustaining injuries such as these,” the doctor added.
