Authorities in California said the two girls found abandoned near a Los Angeles freeway Monday were tossed from a moving vehicle by their suicidal mother who had just killed her boyfriend.
An 8-month-old girl was declared dead and her 9-year-old sister was rushed to the hospital for trauma injuries after they were found along Interstate 405 in Culver City, authorities said Monday.
Detectives linked the girls to Danielle Cherakiyah Johnson after she intentionally crashed into a tree in Redondo Beach.
The 34-year-old’s boyfriend, Jaelen Allen Chaney, was found dead from multiple stab wounds inside an apartment in the Woodland Hills neighborhood in San Fernando Valley.
It is believed the couple argued in the early hours of Monday before things turned violent and Johnson stabbed Chaney, 29.
