Alabama father charged after infant with ‘severe trauma’ arrived at hospital; needed to be revived

An Alabama father was arrested on aggravated child abuse charges after his 3-month-old injured baby needed to be revived and flown to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.

On May 7, Bobby Mason Honeycutt’s baby arrived at Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee in Centre not breathing and in critical condition.

Cedar Hill Police Chief Jeremy Stepps said that staff at the hospital successfully revived the infant and helicoptered him to Children’s.

    The father was then arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse of a child less than 6 years old.

    Honeycutt is currently being held at the Cherokee County Jail as the investigation continues.
