Reports announced the death of an Ohio sheriff's officer while an other was seriously wounded during a standoff with an armed suspect at around 7 p.m.
The event occurred Saturday at Pierce Township, near Cincinnati after a psychiatric emergency call.
According to the officials, the gunman break down into the doctor's house and didn't want to leave.
The gunshots started to be heard from inside the apartment as police attempted to deal with the suspect through megaphone. Two officers were injured at the scene.
One of the deputies whose name has not be released died as the other was transported to the university of Cincinnati Medical center and he appeared to be in a good health.
