New video denies claims of weapon robbery in the Arizona teen murder's case

Tempe news, Arizona news.

Arizona police released a video footage showing a teen with a fake firearm before being shot dead while trying to flee from cops on Jan. 15.

On the new video, 14-year-old Antonio Arce was seen holding an orange-tipped airsoft handgun underneath his arm while an officer began to approach him. The officer later fired at the teen fatally hitting him, news outlets said.

The release of the video is an attempt to deny the hypothesis that the victim had been firing at officers when he was killed especially after the car owner rejected the police accusations about a weapon robbery saying there was no gun in his vehicle.

The boy's father Antonio Arce claimed in a statement: "When I saw the video, I thought, 'Look, it couldn't be clearer.' My son didn't even turned around."
