La Paz news, Arizona news.

A wanted man was fatally shot by deputes in a traffic stop near the Arizona-California border after 146-mile (235-kilometer) pursuit from California, authorities said.

According to The Arizona Department of Public Safety, deputies fired Thursday at Christian Albarran, 26, after making a threatening movement to troopers and a La Paz County Sheriff's deputy adding that he did not collaborate with officers.

Albarran was a subject of warrants in domestic violence and identity theft. He was armed and was described as very dangerous.

Authorities did not provide more information about the incident, DPS spokesman Bart Graves claimed, and it remains unclear if Albarran had a firearm in his car.
