Police announced that a homicide investigation is ongoing after a man was shot dead in east Charlotte Friday night in the 7000 block of Lawyers Road.
A man with a gunshot injury was found in the parking lot, officers said. He was transported to the hospital when he was later pronounced dead.
According to Mecklenburg Police Department, the victim was identified as 22-year-old Christopher Jamil Moore.
The area is still investigated by homicides detectives to know if there are any additional witnesses to this shooting. A woman has been shot in the same day in north Charlotte.
