Jogger who was attacked by dog received a terrific bite from the dog's owner.

An Oakland woman has been arrested for punching and biting a jogger - after the female jogger pepper-sprayed the woman’s dog in self-defense.

The jogger pepper-sprayed a dog when it attacked her at 10:25 a.m. in Anthony Chabot Regional Park, East Bay Regional Park District police said.

Nineteen-year-old Alma Cadwalader of Oakland was arrested Friday by police with the East Bay Regional Park District.

According to police, the victim was tackled and punched by the dog owner. When the jogger attempted to push the attacker off of her, Cadwalader allegedly bit her forearm. Police have released a photo of the bite marks, which caused “significant wounds.”

the victim who was not identified was treated at the scene for her injuries.

Cadwalader was taken into custody on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, false imprisonment with violence and robbery for allegedly taking the jogger’s pepper spray. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney.
