investigators are now treating the case of missing man as a homicide case after his last tweet asking for his mom's help.

New York police are investigating the disappearance of a New York man, who has been missing since December 20, his last tweet is putting more pressure on his family as he wrote ‘Please help me Mom’ before his disappearance.

Michael Stewart, 40, texted his mother “Please help me mom” before disappearing on Dec. 20. Stewart was last seen leaving O’Neill’s Irish Pub in Staten Island that evening.

Thirty minutes later at around 7 p.m., Stewart was seen on surveillance footage arguing with two men outside a barbershop not far from his home.

At around 1.55am on December 21, he sent the text message to his mother.

His family grew worried when he never showed for Christmas to see his two children, Stewart’s 4-year-old daughter has been crying for her father since his mysterious disappearance.

Stewart’s aunt, Roxanne, said. that investigators told her that her nephew "was hurt" and are now treating his case as a suspected homicide. She said Stewart’s 4-year-old daughter is “starting to see that something’s wrong.”

Stewart is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 170 pounds, authorities said.

A GoFundMe campaign titled “Help us find Mikey” has raised nearly $500 of $2,000 so the family can hire a private investigator.
