Five people were arrested after blocking a car at Dee Why. And a police officer was taken to the hospital
Today, around 2 pm, the Northern Beach police tried to park the VW Amarok on a Dee Why Parade car park. The checks revealed the theft of the car.
The car was stolen, injuring a woman sitting in the driver's seat.
The robbers resisted the arrest and assaulted the police officers.
Three men aged 27, 22 and 21 and two women in their twenties were arrested.
A senior police officer was taken to the Northern Beaches Hospital for treatment after being hit repeatedly in the face.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
