Drunk driver accused of fatally hitting Sarah Hyland's cousin charged

Authorities said that the man suspected in the death of Sarah Hyland's cousin in a fatal drunk driving accident was charged with manslaughter and assault.

According to police Jeffrey Eggeling, who had a blood alcohol concentration of .103, allegedly killed Trevor Canaday, 14 who was with his father in their car. The collision caused the teenage to be thrown off the vehicle. He was pronounced dead after being transferred to hospital as his father continued recovering from head and facial injuries during the vehicles's crash.

Hyland states: "This is my 14-year-old cousin; He was killed by a drunk driver. My uncle is still in the hospital in need of more surgeries".

The suspect is in custody awaiting trial on a $750,000 bond. He allegedly had a small bottle of alcohol.
