California police find officer killer's truck as he remains at large

California police have located a pickup truck believed to be used by the accused suspect in the fatal shooting death of a police officer on Wednesday.

The shooter of 33-year-old Newman police Cpl. Ronil Singh remained at large as officials were examining the vehicle for evidence. It was recovered at a mobile home park 4.5 miles northeast of the shooting scene in Newman. The truck, a gray Dodge Ram pickup, was inside a garage.

The suspect shot and killer Singh during a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. Singh had called in the traffic stop and "shots" were reportedly heard over his radio soon later.

Authorities, air and ground units were looking for the suspect based on photos caught by surveillance camera at the Newman Food Store just before the attack.
