San Pablo gang-member shooter gets life in prison for manslaughter's charge

The San Pablo man who was charged with murder of Adrian Segoviano was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.

Ignacio Sanchez-Gomez, 24, was arrested in September 2017 and convicted in October. During the entire trial, he pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges. He and Jose Maravilla, 23, both gang members were accused in the murder of Adrian Segoviano ,22, and the attempted murder of four persons.

The deadly attack occurred outside an apartment complex on the 1800 block of Powell Street. Maravilla pleaded not guilty to voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 25-year in jail.

During the trial Sanchez's defense team claimed that his client was a "harmless" person and that he was innocent.
